Stuckey Farm School Tours
It’s a science lesson, outdoor recreation, an introduction to agriculture, a bit of Indiana history, and a healthy snack, all rolled into one. That’s why teachers and students of all ages enjoy a brief trip into the country to see life on Stuckey Farm – and it’s why we welcome school groups, daycares, preschools, church youth groups and others.
Kids love to watch the bees in our glass-framed indoor hive, and are so fascinated with the pollination process that they don’t even realize they’re learning. We show them how apples grow from a tiny seed to create many more of those seeds. Another favorite is our cider press and bottling room, where they watch a squishy mess become a tasty, healthy drink.
They can tour our entire 40-acre farm and even ride a wagon to the pumpkin patch. Our covered picnic areas are the perfect place to enjoy a brown-bag lunch, and our play structures will help them burn off that excess energy (for a calmer ride back to school).
We’ll be happy to discuss your group’s needs and preferences, and put together the perfect visit for you. Just call us at 317.769.4172, or email us at info@stuckeyfarm.com |
